INFORMATION: After a dental implant operation.

There is a great deal that you can do to ensure the healing process after the operation is free of complications. If you follow the advice as carefully as possible, you will reduce the risk of problems developing later. Food and drink after surgery
Do not eat or drink for at least 2 hours. Do not even rinse out your mouth with water during this period. It is important not to damage the protective plug of coagulated blood that forms and helps kick start the healing process.
During the first day you can consume liquid or semi-solid food that is cold and has no lumps that could get into the wound. Eat ice cream and yoghurt for example.

Work and physical activity
Take it easy for the first few hours after surgery, not least to reduce the risk of bleeding from the wound. Do not smoke and avoid heavy work and major physical exertion for the first few days.

Oral hygiene
For the wound to heal properly, it is important to keep your mouth clean.
Use a toothbrush and other aids such as dental floss or toothpicks in the area of your mouth that was not operated on, but avoid the area around the wound for the first week. Use Paroex for 10 days to combat bacteria growth in the area of the wound.
